Global Vice President of Human Resources

Position Summary: We are seeking a Global Vice President of Human Resources who will be responsible for providing global leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, recruiting, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, organizational training and leadership development, and compensation. The Global Vice President of Human Resources provides global strategic leadership by articulating human resource needs and plans to the executive management team. The job holder is responsible for providing key thought leadership, influence, and hands-on engagement to ensure effective deployment of the human capital agenda to achieve business results; partners with business leaders and peers to grow the business and ensure organizational capability. This is a newly created role responsible for hands-on management and effective leadership of a global team. Position Responsibilities Function as a strategic business partner to senior management regarding key organizational and management issues. Establish and implement HR initiatives that effectively communicate and support our  strategic vision. Develop global HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of business objectives. Develop plans and drive training for our employees aligned with business goals. This is a strategic and hands on position. Your responsibilities will include: Build relationships with senior leaders to establish credibility as a trusted advisor to influence and support key strategic and operational decisions. Develop succession planning, career development and performance management processes with results aligning with the company's goals.      Identify critical metrics to assess and measure impact and results.      Drive organizational improvements and decision-making by translating the strategic and tactical business plans into Global HR strategy and operational plans.      Promote awareness and facilitate the adoption of HR policies and practices globally, while educating leadership regarding HR capabilities and function. Talent Acquisition, Development and Retention Develop and execute comprehensive strategic recruiting, talent development and retention plans to meet the human capital needs in support of strategic goals, encompassing all geographic areas worldwide in which CooperSurgical employs people. Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the corporation for positions of responsibility. Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company. Develop the most creative and cost-effective ways of generating high-quality candidates in the marketplace. Develop long-term relationships with organizations and individuals that will enhance the talent pipeline flow toward the company. Market CooperSurgical as an employer of choice. Training and Organizational Development Manage and support the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of CooperSurgical, Inc employees. Identify training needs and help design curriculum. Coach managers and supervisors to create a highly effective management team that promotes a strong growth-oriented, high performance culture. Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Department Leadership Ensure that HR programs and training curriculum are both reasonably consistent among international locations and also a fit for local cultures and regulatory environments. Provide global leadership and guidance toHRfunction by overseeing: Development of progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and to provide programs which utilize an employee and company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees; Enhancement and/or development, implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures; Relocation; Employee communication; Employee safety and health; and Community relations. Develop and mentor human resources and training staff. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources and training. Position Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors degreerequired. Masters degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or Organizational Development strongly preferred. Minimum 20 years business experience with a minimum of 15 years of human resources executive experience in a multinational organization. Experience in diverse workforce and cultures, high growth, acquisitive companies.  Experience in healthcare and manufacturing preferred. Demonstrated background in talent management and leadership development; as well as have a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent. Skill Competencies      Ability to provide vision and leadership.      Ability to strategically and tactically evaluate and implement value add HR related programs and initiatives.      Ability to work across national and cultural boundaries to build consensus across a diverse workforce and culture.      Able to bring immediate credibility to the human resources function through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills as well as project the highest levels of integrity.      A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.      Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills.      Proficient with MS Office. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
