Financial Analyst

HPOne, named CT Magazine?s 2018 Great Places to Work, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team.


The Financial Analyst reports to the Manager of Accounting Operations and is responsible for reconciling policies sold by HPOne to ensure that all compensation owed to the company has been received in a timely manner.


Detailed Responsibilities:



  • Run quarterly reports out of the SQL Finance database system to identify Medicare and Ancillary sold policies where HPONE has not received the appropriate commission.

  • Send carriers a weekly compilation of policies for which HPOne has not been paid and follow-up via phone and email.

  • Build and maintain in Excel policy reconciliation trackers and make necessary updates through analysis within the SQL finance database payment history, as well as through carrier updates and portal extracts.

  • Make needed modifications to AgentCubed policy records based on findings.

  • Work closely with the support department to help resolve AOR issues and provide additional documentation requested by carriers related to unpaid policies.

  • Prepare monthly Excel status reports via pivot tables to inform upper management of progress.

  • Analyze carrier contracts vs. payment received to ensure HPOne is receiving accurate commissions. Conduct research to identify trends to report to management

  • Prepare detailed user documentation


Requirements:



  • Bachelor?s degree required

  • 2 + years of related experience preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Must be analytical, organized and detail orientated

  • Good time management skills including the ability to identify, prioritize and execute tasks

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
