The Product Development Research Associate will play a critical leadership role in the development of new formulations and supporting the commercialization of the new product introductions in our Fabric Conditioners and Additives product pipeline. This role will serve as the category expertise to create and maintain a formulation and technology strategy for critical brands in the Henkel portfolio.

Creates and implements the future formulation strategy to deliver new product and innovation programs. Partners with global partners in R&D and Purchasing to create a competitive and viable long term formulation architecture.
Leads and supports projects as part of an integrated, cross functional project team.
Partners with colleagues in Marketing, Market Research, etc. to create consumer winning initiatives.
Leads technical teams in development of new product formulations, data quality, due diligence and performance criteria/standards. Works closely with packaging, process development, and manufacturing during development and commercialization of products.
Develops and deepens technical knowledge and expertise of Henkel in fabric conditioner formulation technologies, developing contacts with relevant third party technology providers. Keep current in cutting edge chemistry and technologies to deliver consumer winning propositions.
Develops and supports Intellectual Property strategy for key technologies and new product developments to support Henkel's competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Contributes to the development of an R&D technology strategy, identifying skill and competency gaps. Actively seeks to build predictive performance models to enhance and accelerate future formulation development efforts.
Mentors and fosters technical expertise in the Henkel R&D community, including direct coaching of junior formulators and product developers.
Represents Henkel R&D with suppliers, customers, and external trade associations.
Actively participates in industry and trade associations to advance developments in the scientific community.
Responsible for safe working conditions (handles dangerous equipment and hazardous chemicals).
Aware of hazards associated with work assigned, observes safe work practices, keeps equipment neat, clean and in safe operating condition, and maintains good housekeeping standards.
Responsible for following all applicable Federal, State, and Local health, safety, and environmental regulations, as per corporate health, safety and environmental policies.
Who we are looking for
Education Ph. D. in Chemistry or related field (preferred); Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related scientific discipline.
Experience Minimum of 10 years' experience in Research & Development with a primary focus on formulation development in consumer products.
Ability to effectively partner with cross functional and external counterparts and lead a technical team through development.
Experience with surfactant and emulsion chemistry and the ability to create technical data to support claims.
Basic personal computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases are required
10% travel may be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
