Behavior Technician Currently looking for Trumbull, CT.
Searching for Bilingual candidates to work in Spanish speaking homes
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities - Collect data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions - Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans - Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of treatment plans - Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions - Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on progress and address any concerns Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written - Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with special needs - Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior programs accurately - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Note:
Prior experience as a Behavior Technician or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred, training can be available if needed.
On the job training can be provided.
MUST BE WILLING TO BECOME A REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF HIRE DATE.
Company will pay for cost of FIRST exam.
